Lisa Ottevanger. Senior Brand Designer, Creative Brand Strategist, Graphic Artist & Custom Painter

Hand-painted identity for motorcycle culture

My name is Lisa Ottevanger. Dutch on Wheels is my artist label within motorcycle culture. Started in 2015. A place where custom paint, lettering, sign painting, graphic design, and brand identity come together.

I don't see helmets, tanks, gloves, jackets, and other objects as blank surfaces. I see them as carriers of identity. Every line, color, letter, and symbol can tell something about the rider, the builder, the brand, or the culture surrounding it.

My work is rooted in craftsmanship, but shaped by years of experience as a Senior Brand Designer and Creative Brand Strategist. It is precisely this combination that ensures I look beyond decoration. I translate stories, values, character, and visual DNA into work that feels personal, is credible, and fits within the culture it emerges from.

Frequently asked questions

Average of 2–4 weeks, depending on complexity and the current queue.

Who do you work for?
  • Riders who want their gear to carry more personality

  • Garages and motorcycle brands with a story that deserves to be more sharply defined
  • Lifestyle labels that value craftsmanship, character, and authenticity

How does it work?

Every project starts with identity.

What should this object say?
What does the rider stand for?
What is the character of the brand?
Which visual language suits the culture, the machine, and the material?

From there, I build a visual direction with sketches, references, color, typography, symbolism, and composition. The final work is crafted by hand, with attention to material, detail, surface, and attitude.

The result is not just a painted object.
It is a piece of visual identity that you can wear, ride, hold, or build a campaign around.

Do you also do collabs?

I work with individual riders, custom builders, garages, motorcycle brands and lifestyle labels that value craftsmanship, character and authentic visual storytelling.

Where is everything designed and painted?

All work is made in my studio in Amsterdam.
